Reedle Shot 300

A micro-spicule serum that physically exfoliates and may enhance active delivery beyond the stratum corneum. The 300 series contains approximately three times the spicule density of the 100. Use once weekly — not a daily serum.

Aesu’s POV

Buy it as a micro-exfoliant, not needle-free mesotherapy.

Mixedthe spicule mechanism is real, but the marketing outruns the evidence. Clinical data specific to VT's formula is thin, and before-and-after claims significantly overstate what a weekly serum can achieve. Niacinamide at ~4–5% is the most evidence-backed ingredient here.

What it does

The real benefit

Freshwater sponge micro-spicules (Spongilla) create transient microchannels in the stratum corneum when massaged in, potentially improving penetration of co-formulated actives and triggering a mild wound-healing response that may stimulate cell turnover. Niacinamide at approximately 4–5% (positioned fourth in the INCI) may visibly reduce pore appearance with consistent use. Centella and propolis provide soothing and anti-inflammatory support during the post-application recovery window.

What it does not

The honest limits

Does not replace professional microneedling — spicules are surface-level and do not reach the dermis. The 300 series causes genuine tingling and 30–60 minutes of redness: not suitable for skin with active barrier disruption, open wounds, or severe rosacea. The "300" denotes relative spicule density, not a disclosed percentage. Cannot be combined with other exfoliants, retinoids, or vitamin C on the same day.

Ritual

How to use

Use once or twice weekly in the evening, never daily. Apply a small amount to dry skin and massage gently for 1–2 minutes until mild tingling confirms spicule activation. Do not combine with AHAs, BHAs, retinoids, or vitamin C in the same session. Follow with a centella-based or barrier-repair cream.
