Aesu’s POV

A thoughtful retinoid-alternative for sensitive skin, pregnancy, and breastfeeding

True benefita thoughtful retinoid-alternative for sensitive skin, pregnancy, and breastfeeding. Bakuchiol at 0.5% is a meaningful concentration. Centella at 0.75% adds real soothing action, and the supporting cast is excellent: niacinamide, fermented centella, ceramide NP, squalane, shea butter, peptides. Bakuchiol is photostable (unlike retinoids) and safe during pregnancy/breastfeeding, which positions this product uniquely. No added fragrance. The only real limitation: bakuchiol is a weaker performer than retinal or tretinoin for deep wrinkles or serious photoaging.

What it does

The real benefit

Delivers gentle retinoid-like benefits without the irritation. Bakuchiol smooths fine lines, refines texture, and brightens over weeks of consistent use. Fermented centella and ceramides calm and reinforce the thin skin around eyes and mouth. A peptide (acetyl hexapeptide-8) targets expression lines. Safe AM and PM, safe in pregnancy and breastfeeding, safe to layer with acids and vitamin C. Works equally well on the full face.

What it does not

The honest limits

Does not match the potency of prescription retinoids or even 0.05% retinal for deep wrinkles or photoaging. Does not erase dark circles caused by pigmentation or vascular structure. Does not work overnight — real change takes 8–12 weeks of consistent use. Not the right product if you already tolerate and benefit from retinal or tretinoin.

How to use
