Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum

A broad-spectrum SPF 50+ PA++++ sunscreen in a serum format — watery texture, no white cast, four UV filters covering UVA-1, UVA-2, and UVB. Centella asiatica (5%), madecassoside, and hyaluronic acid add a functional soothing and hydration layer without requiring a separate moisturiser step in a lightweight routine.

Aesu’s POV

True benefitas a sunscreen. The four-filter combination is genuinely broad-spectrum and photostable, and the serum format solves the white-cast and heavy-texture problems that discourage daily reapplication. The centella at 5% and hyaluronic acid are a meaningful addition for reactive skin, not just marketing texture claims.

What it does

The real benefit

The four-filter system — zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, Tinosorb S, and Uvinul A Plus — provides genuinely broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection with excellent photostability. Physical filters (zinc oxide, titanium dioxide) reflect UV; chemical filters (Tinosorb S, Uvinul A Plus) absorb UVA-1 and UVA-2 at concentrations documented under EU and Korean cosmetic safety regulations. Centella asiatica at 5% and madecassoside add documented anti-inflammatory action — a functional choice for reactive or post-procedure skin that needs protection and calming in a single step. The serum texture leaves no white cast and layers cleanly under makeup.

What it does not

The honest limits

The hybrid physical-chemical formula may not provide sufficient hydration as a standalone layer for very dry skin — a separate moisturiser underneath is recommended. Chemical filters, particularly Tinosorb S, can cause contact reactions in a small proportion of sensitised individuals; patch test recommended for rosacea-prone skin. Not water-resistant — swimming or heavy sweating requires reapplication. The serum film is thinner than a traditional cream, making adequate quantity (1.5–2ml for the full face) especially important.

Ritual

How to use

Apply generously as the final step of your morning routine, after all serums and moisturiser have fully absorbed. Use approximately one-quarter teaspoon (1.5–2ml) for full face coverage — underapplication significantly reduces SPF protection. This is your SPF step, not a supplement to another sunscreen. Reapply every two hours of direct sun exposure.
