Water-based Cleanser

PURITO

Mighty Bamboo Panthenol Cleanser

A cleanser that actively supports the barrier while it cleans. Panthenol at 0.3% (3,000 ppm), allantoin, and a low-pH gel-to-foam — pH 5.5, sulfate-free, gentle enough for twice-daily use. The kind of cleanser that makes the rest of the routine easier.

Aesu’s POV

True benefitpH 5.5 and panthenol at 0.3% are both genuinely meaningful. The bamboo at 0.005% is the honest counterweight: present at a concentration too low to drive any measurable outcome. A well-constructed barrier-conscious cleanser — not a bamboo treatment with a cleanser base.

What it does

The real benefit

Panthenol (provitamin B5) at 0.3% is a well-documented humectant with clinical evidence for barrier repair post-cleansing: it draws moisture to the skin surface and may reduce transepidermal water loss and post-wash tightness in sensitive and dry skin types. Allantoin soothes and promotes gentle cell turnover. The sulfate-free surfactant base at pH 5.5 preserves the acid mantle and limits microbiome disruption compared to high-pH foaming cleansers.

What it does not

The honest limits

Panthenol at 0.3% is functional but modest — leave-on products at 1–5% deliver substantially more barrier benefit; this cleanser supports but does not replace a dedicated panthenol serum or moisturizer. The bamboo extract at 0.005% is a trace amount: no meaningful clinical benefit is expected at this concentration. Does not remove oil-based sunscreen or heavy makeup — pair with an oil cleanser first.

Ritual

How to use

Use as the second cleansing step after an oil cleanser, or as your sole cleanser on days without SPF or makeup. Apply a small amount to wet skin, work into a lather, massage for thirty to forty-five seconds, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Pat dry and follow with toner and serum while skin is still slightly damp.
