Zero Pore Pad

A dual-acid exfoliating pad that works at the surface and inside the pore. Lactic acid (4.5%) resurfaces texture; salicylic acid (0.45%) penetrates sebum-filled pores where surface acids cannot reach. Centella and allantoin in the same formula calm the irritation that acids can trigger.

Aesu’s POV

MixedThe dual-acid combination is well-chosen for pore maintenance and the pad format ensures even application, making it harder to over-apply. The concentrations work without being aggressive, but the fragrance load in a product for congested, often-inflamed skin is a real formulation tension — patch test before committing.

What it does

The real benefit

Lactic acid at 4.5% exfoliates at the stratum corneum level, dissolving bonds between dead skin cells to improve texture and clarity over weeks of consistent use. Salicylic acid is oil-soluble — at 0.45% it penetrates through sebum into the pore lining, softening keratin plugs and reducing follicular congestion with regular application. Betaine salicylate adds supplementary exfoliation without the pH sensitivity of pure salicylic acid. Sodium hyaluronate and allantoin counter dehydration and irritation at the same step, reducing the dryness that typically follows acid exfoliation.

What it does not

The honest limits

At 4.5% lactic and 0.45% salicylic, this is a maintenance exfoliant — not a clinical peel. Expect incremental improvement over months, not rapid correction. Contains fragrance at a level that may irritate reactive or compromised skin, which is a real tension in a product designed for congested and often-inflamed pores. Not suitable on broken skin or active breakouts. Efficacy drops significantly without consistent use — a once-weekly schedule is insufficient.

Ritual

How to use

Swipe one pad across cleansed, dry skin after your water-based cleanser, two to three evenings per week maximum. Apply to the full face or target pore-prone areas — T-zone, chin, and nose. Do not rinse. Follow immediately with a hydrating serum and moisturiser; acids increase transepidermal water loss, so do not skip the hydration step.
