Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum

An honest brightening serum. Five percent niacinamide — the clinically studied dose — with glutathione, hyaluronic acid, and squalane. Softens post-acne marks, evens tone, calms redness. For subtle, consistent improvement, not dramatic correction. Apply AM and PM. Works only with daily SPF.

Aesu’s POV

A well-formulated 5% niacinamide serum at fair price.

True BenefitNiacinamide at 5% is the clinically-studied concentration for fading hyperpigmentation, improving barrier function, and regulating sebum. Supporting cast is coherent: sodium hyaluronate, glycerin, squalane, glutathione, rice bran extract, calendula, papaya fruit extract, sea buckthorn, allantoin. Fragrance-free (though it contains rosemary leaf oil, a mild natural scent and potential sensitizer for reactive skin). This is a multi-functional brightening serum, not a hyperpigmentation treatment in the clinical sense. Positioned for what it is — a daily brightening serum — it's excellent value.

What it does

The real benefit

Works over weeks to gently fade post-acne marks, even out uneven tone, and restore radiance. 5% niacinamide strengthens the barrier, regulates sebum for combination/oily skin, and softens dullness. Hyaluronic acid, squalane, and glycerin hydrate at the same time. Calendula and allantoin soothe. A good entry-level brightening serum, well-tolerated by most skin types, including sensitive.

What it does not

The honest limits

Does not fade melasma, sun-damage dark spots, or deep hyperpigmentation — these require stronger actives. Does not replace SPF (niacinamide helps, but UV protection is what stops new dark spots forming). Not the fastest-acting brightener on the market: visible results take 6–12 weeks. Contains rosemary leaf oil, which may not suit very reactive skin despite the "fragrance-free" label.

Ritual

How to use

Apply after toner, AM and PM, before moisturizer. Two to three drops covers the full face. Compatible with most routines — can layer over a hydrating essence and under a heavier serum or moisturizer. Always use SPF in the morning; all brightening actives increase UV sensitivity.
